A Light Shines in the Darkness–a stand against hate

Early last week a young woman’s body was found in the dumpster of a local apartment complex.

Fr. Frank Logue quickly worked (read to the bottom of the link) with many local churches and the residents of the apartment complex to organize a candle light vigil to “stand against fear and murder,” and to “reach out to her in love even though someone else treated her like refuse.”

Fr. Frank Logue about the outcome of the event.

Rev. Linda McCloud about the outcome of the event.

Channel 4 News in Jacksonville carries the story as well.

This was the truest display of the love of Christ and the grace of God that I have seen in quite a long time. There were no ulterior motives. Every thing that divides was shattered. Every controversy was dissolved. Every argument was forgotten. All that was remembered is that “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.”
