500: What is Methodist, cont…

I’m getting the impression that many of us have varying ideas of what it means to be Methodist.  Is it appropriate for different UM’s to have these varying specifics as long as they fall under the general umbrella of doctrine and belief?  One point of pride in the UMC seems to be that within our structure we can remain bound together through some varying opinions.

At a large scope view, who are we?

  1. We are the Confession of Faith and the Articles of Religion. Although apparently many Methodists — and even elders in full connection — disagree.
